The members of the Women's Servants of Imam Mahdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance), affiliated with religious authorities in Karbala, organized the Bani Asad Mourning Procession in the holy city. Every year, on the 13th day of Muharram, the anniversary of the burial of the martyrs of the Battle of Nainawa Plains, the sacred city of Karbala witnesses the grand ceremony of the Bani Asad mourning, attracting tens of thousands of mourners. This year, scores of dedicated women from the Women's Servants participated in the procession, paying tribute to the Hussaini rituals and commemorating Imam Hussain's sacrifice with utmost devotion.
