Coinciding with the blessed birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (peace be upon him), and in accordance with the guidance of the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah al-Udhma Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi (may his shadow be prolonged), the AhlulBayt Cultural-Charitable Institute — one of the centers affiliated with the Marja‘iyya in Basra — inaugurated a new institute dedicated to supporting seminary students in the Zubair district of Basra.
The newly established center, named the Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Institute, has commenced its mission to provide academic and cultural support for students of the religious seminary.
The opening ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. It was followed by speeches from Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Abbas Aliawi, director of the new institute, and Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Sadiq al-Basri, director of the AhlulBayt Institute.
The event was attended by a group of religious figures, tribal elders, and civil society activists, marking a significant step in enhancing religious education and cultural outreach in the region.
