The first meeting of the Administrative Council of the Tribal Affairs Department was held at the Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Center for Strategic Studies—one of the institutions affiliated with the religious authority in the holy city of Najaf.
The session was attended by tribal sheikhs and elders from the Al-Furat Al-Awsat (Middle Euphrates) region. Discussions focused on strategies for organizing a public conference in Najaf and other central provinces of Iraq.
During the meeting, the proposed date for holding the general assembly of Iraqi tribal sheikhs was also discussed and reviewed.
