On the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Ghadir and coinciding with the 18th anniversary of the founding of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) Cultural and Charitable Foundation—one of the centers affiliated with the religious authority in the city of Basra—a grand ceremony was held by the foundation.

During the event, in addition to celebrating Eid al-Ghadir, the “Al-Marji'iyoon” satellite channel was officially inaugurated. Speeches were delivered by Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Sadiq al-Basri, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Alaa al-Shannan, and Rafid al-Hawi, representative of the Iraqi Journalists Association in Basra.

The ceremony was attended by a wide range of religious scholars, university figures, tribal leaders, and representatives of civil society institutions.
