On the occasion of the arrival of the month of Muharram and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the Public Relations Center of the office of the Grand Marja', Ayatollah al-Uzma Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi , in the holy city of Kadhimiya, is holding mourning gatherings during the first ten days of this sacred month.

During the program, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ahmad Lami delivers a lecture on the topic: "Ziyarat Ashura: A Symbol of Loyalty and Disavowal."

Following the lecture, eulogist Hassan Kanani recites elegies and leads the mourning rituals in remembrance of the tragedy of Karbala.
