With the arrival of the sacred month of Muharram 1447 AH, the centers affiliated with the religious authority of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi (may his shadow be prolonged) in Kabul, Afghanistan, organized a series of mourning and cultural programs to commemorate the days of mourning for Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

At the office of the religious authority in Kabul, a series of mourning gatherings for Imam Sayyed al-Shuhada (peace be upon him) are being held during the first ten days of Muharram. These gatherings are attended by religious, cultural, and social figures, along with a group of devoted followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and include speeches by Hussaini preachers and recitations of elegies.

At the Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) Complex, another center affiliated with the religious authority in Kabul, a mourning tent for Imam Aba Abdillah al-Hussain (peace be upon him) has been set up. From the first to the thirteenth of Muharram, this center hosts daily mourning ceremonies, featuring speeches by Hussaini orators and large gatherings of Ahl al-Bayt lovers grieving for Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

These programs are held in accordance with the guidance of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi (may his shadow be prolonged), with the aim of keeping the spirit of the Ashura uprising alive and promoting the culture of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in Afghanistan.
