The Adam Center for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms, affiliated with the religious authority in the holy city of Karbala, discussed the topic: “Consolidation of Tyranny through General Elections”, with the participation of a number of professors, directors of research centers, and specialized academics.

In the research paper presented by Dr. Alaa Al-Husseini, a researcher at the center, emphasis was placed on the fact that elections or referendums are, in principle, tools of democracy and a form of popular participation in decision-making, as they reflect recourse to the people and taking their opinion in vital issues.
