The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi in the holy city of Karbala has commenced the second Fatimiyyah mourning ceremonies.

These gatherings are held on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Lady of the Two Worlds, Lady Fatimah Zahra, peace be upon her, following the second narration, which places her martyrdom seventy-five days after the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.

The first gathering of this series was held on the morning of Tuesday, the 12th of Jumada I 1447 AH, at the office of the Grand Ayatollah.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Zia Alzubaidi delivered a speech highlighting the oppression and sufferings of Lady Fatimah Zahra, peace be upon her. The gathering concluded with elegy recitations and mourning rituals.
