Sheikh Saleh Sibawayh, representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi and director of the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Global Center in Canada, met on November 3rd and 5th with the Consul General and the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Canada.

In the first meeting with Ms. Wissan Abdulamir, Consul General of Iraq in Montreal, issues concerning the Islamic community, particularly the challenges faced by Iraqi women residing in Canada, were discussed, and both sides emphasized increasing cooperation in this area.

In the second meeting with Dr. Abdulrahman Alhusseini, Ambassador of Iraq in Ottawa, the challenges of the Muslim community and Iraqi residents in Canada, as well as the situation of youth and adolescents, were addressed. The Ambassador appreciated the activities of the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Global Center and expressed the embassy’s readiness to cooperate to resolve issues.
