On the occasion of the blessed birth of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H.), the Ahlul Bayt (P.B.U.T.) Cultural and Charitable Institute, affiliated with the Religious Authority in Basra, Iraq, organized a religious coming-of-age (taklif) ceremony for adolescents who had reached the age of 15 lunar years.
The ceremony, attended by 100 youths reaching the age of religious responsibility, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Sheikh Sadiq Basri spoke about key aspects of the life of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H.) and congratulated the young participants, emphasizing three main points: performing acts of worship, continuing education, and serving the community in the future.
The program also included a speech by Sayyid Muhammad Jaberi, director of Al-Rasool Al-Adham Quran Center, as well as poetry recitation and eulogies by Mahmoud Hassani.
