From the first day of the blessed month of Shaban 1447 AH, coinciding with the auspicious occasions of the Shabaniyah celebrations, the Ahlul Bayt (P.B.U.T.) Service Committee and the Ali Akbar (P.B.U.H.) Committee, both affiliated with the Religious Authority, began distributing sweets and meals among pilgrims and the residents of the holy city of Karbala, in Iraq.
According to the organizers, this program of providing food and distributing offerings will continue on a daily basis until the fifteenth of the blessed month of Shaban.
