The ceremony for renewing allegiance to Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his advent, was held in Mahajanga, Madagascar, under the auspices of the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi.

The event took place at dawn on the 15th of Shaban 1447 AH, where a group of believers renewed their pledge of loyalty to Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his advent, by submitting letters expressing their commitment.

As part of a long-standing tradition, participants gathered by the sea before sunrise and cast their letters of allegiance into the water.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Muhammad Razi Wasaram, head of the Grand Ayatollah’s office in Madagascar, delivered a speech on the occultation of Imam Mahdi, the spiritual rewards of awaiting his return, and the duties of Shia believers during this period.

The event also included the recitation of Supplication of Nudba and Supplication of Al-Ahd, along with celebratory programs to honor this spiritually significant occasion.
