On the occasion of the celebrations marking the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his advent, the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hussein Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, in Afghanistan carried out a series of charitable and religious programs. These initiatives were held on the occasion of 15 Shaban 1447 AH across several provinces of Afghanistan.

Among these efforts was the distribution of sacrificial meat in celebration of the birth of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his advent, in Mazar-e-Sharif, conducted in cooperation with Al-Mustafa Cultural and Charitable Foundation (P.B.U.H. & H.F.). During this program, six sheep were sacrificed, and their meat was distributed among families in need.

In Kabul, a celebration of the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his advent, was held at the office of the Religious Authority. The spiritual gathering was attended by scholars, seminarians, youth, and followers of Ahlul Bayt (P.B.U.T.). The program included recitation of the Holy Quran, eulogies, and a speech delivered by Sayyid Abdullah Zaki.

In Sar-e-Pol Province, a delegation from the office of the Religious Authority visited religious centers and presented reports on the educational and cultural conditions of schools and mosques in the region. Furthermore, on the occasion of the blessed birth anniversary, winter coal was distributed among needy families in Balkhab district.

These initiatives, carried out in cooperation with local charitable institutions, were warmly welcomed by the public and reflected the deep love and devotion of the people of Afghanistan toward Ahlul Bayt (P.B.U.T.).
