A cultural and educational workshop titled “Empowering Civil Society Organizations in Combating Corruption and Promoting Transparency” was held in cooperation with the Federal Anti-Corruption Commission and Misbah Alhussein (P.B.U.H.), one of the centers under the supervision of the Religious Authority in the holy city of Karbala. The program took place at the High Human Rights Council Hall in Holy Karbala on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

The workshop was attended by a number of officials and representatives from various institutions, including Dr. Amneh Al-Asadi, a member of the Provincial Council, as well as representatives from government offices, unions, and civil society organizations.

The event aimed to strengthen the role of NGOs in combating corruption and enhancing transparency, and it received active participation from attendees. During the session, scientific discussions and exchanges of views took place among participants and speakers, and proposals were presented for holding similar workshops in the future.

Participants emphasized the need to continue such initiatives and urged organizers to maintain the schedule of specialized workshops and conferences to foster greater coordination and interaction between official institutions and civil society organizations.
