In preparation for the tenth of Muharram, the Najaf Center for Strategic Studies (NCSS), an affiliate of the religious authority, collaborated with the Najaf Health Team to hold a specialized workshop for medical staff and volunteers serving in processions and medical centers across Najaf. The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of those serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). The first part of the training covered first aid and emergency response, including wound dressing, CPR, safe transportation of the injured, and treatment for choking or burns. The second part focused on nursing skills, such as IV catheter insertion, blood sampling, and monitoring blood pressure and glucose levels. The final part addressed the principles of service to the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the management of temporary medical facilities, as well as communication skills for high-pressure situations.
