On Monday, July 20, 2026 (the fifth day of the month of Safar), marking the anniversary of the tragic martyrdom of Lady Ruqayyah, daughter of Imam Hussein, peace be upon them, the residence of the Supreme Religious Authority Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi, may God prolong his life, in the holy city of Qom was filled with mourning and sorrow.

On this day of grief and remembrance, the believers at the residence of the Religious Authority commemorated her martyrdom. Scholar Sheikh Alhaeri delivered a eulogy recounting the suffering of Imam Hussein’s three-year-old daughter, while mourners wept over the hardships and injustices endured by Prophet Muhammad’s Household, peace be upon them.

At the conclusion of the gathering, attendees prayed for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi, may our souls be sacrificed for him, the Savior of humanity, and for the relief and salvation of Shia Muslims around the world.
