A poetry gathering was held at the Office of Supreme Religious Authority Ayatollah Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, in Beirut, Lebanon, to mark the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad and Imam Jafar Alsadiq, peace be upon them.
The gathering was attended by a number of religious scholars, seminary students, and believers. The program included Quran recitation, the recitation of Hadith Al-Kisa, and poetry in praise of Prophet Muhammad and his descendant, Imam Jafar Alsadiq, peace be upon them, performed by Sheikh Ali Alatrash.
The representative of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Lebanon, Sheikh Jalal Maash, congratulated the attendees on the two birth anniversaries and spoke about the role of poetry in Islamic culture and its importance in conveying religious teachings. He emphasized the important role of poetry about Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in promoting religious values and strengthening Islamic awareness in society.
At the conclusion of the gathering, four Lebanese poets recited poems in praise of Prophet Muhammad and his descendant, Imam Jafar Alsadiq, peace be upon them. One of the seminary students was also formally invested with clerical attire by the representative of the Religious Authority.
