Sayyid Aref Nasrallah, director of the Public Relations Center of the Religious Authority’s Office in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, met with Scholar Mortadha Nematzadeh, director of the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority Ayatollah Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, in Tehran, Iran, during his visit to the city, along with members of the office.
The meeting, held at the Religious Authority’s office in Tehran, addressed the role of the Shia Religious Authority within the Shia Muslim world and discussed a number of strategic issues in this field.
The participants also examined the potential of the annual pilgrimage to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, held on the 40th day after his martyrdom in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, as well as the role of institutions and centers associated with the Religious Authority in serving pilgrims, developing cultural and service programs, and sharing the message of the Fortieth Day Pilgrimage with people around the world.
