The Islamic Seminary of Fatimah Masoumeh, affiliated to the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in the Afghan Capital, Kabul, held memorials in the first ten days of Muharram to honor the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him. These memorials began with recitation of holy Quran and the Ashura Ziarat. Religious lectures and reading eulogies are also some parts of these memorials. Sheikh Mohammad Aref Koosha, one of the representatives of the Grand Jurist in Kabul and Sayed Ali Hasan Husaini, the director of Fatimah Masoumeh Seminary were the two speakers of these memorials.
