On the arrival of mourning month of Muharram, the House of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Husayni Shirazi, in the holy city of Qom in Iran, hosts commemorations for Imam Hussein’s martyrdom, blessings of God be upon him. The believers, clerics, scholars as well as the Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi, may God grant him a long life, attend these martyrdom commemoration ceremonies. The lecturers in these ceremonies address the uprising of Imam Hussein, blessings of God be upon him, in brining reform, standing against injustice and tyranny, and eulogies are also recited. It is worth noting that the House of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi will continue to host these commemoration ceremonies for thirteen consecutive days, both in the morning and in afternoon in the languages of Persian and Arabic.
