A ceremony celebrating the birth of Imam Mahdi was held at the office of the Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadegh Husseini Shirazi in Basra. The event was attended by religious and cultural figures, seminary students, and believers. Attendees recited poetry and eulogies and spoke of the virtues and merits of Imam Mahdi. The office also hosted Dr. Abdul Razaq Al-Abadi from the University of Basra during the same period, where discussions were held on how to promote the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt in society.
