On the occasion of the World Day of Shia Muslims, Shia Rights Watch has issued a statement. The message as follows:

Shia Rights Watch celebrates the 12th of June as the World Day of Shia Muslims. This celebration is a tradition aimed at intensifying international efforts to reduce the systematic and widespread oppression and harassment faced by Shia Muslims due to sectarian and tribal reasons. June 12th was specifically designated after the discovery of one of the mass graves of Shia Muslims in Iraq. These graves contained the remains of thousands of non-combatant Shia children, women, elderly, and youth who were executed by the sectarian regime of Saddam in Iraq.

Shia Rights Watch has condemned thousands of such ongoing violations without any justification other than sectarian and religious differences. Meanwhile, the international community remains silent and closes its eyes to the crimes being committed. The organization is committed, based on its religious, legal, and humanitarian responsibility, to adhere to its approach and support Shia Muslims to the best of its abilities through media, diplomatic channels, and its own platforms.
