Sayyed Ahmad Shirazi, the son of the esteemed Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadeq Husseini Shirazi, performed the Arbaeen pilgrimage from afar, complying with the directive of the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) to perform distant ziyarat (pilgrimage). Sayyed Ahmad Shirazi made his way to a desert in Kuwait, situated closest to the border between Kuwait and Iraq, to pay homage to Imam Hussein (PBUH) from afar. According to the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them), Shia Muslims who are unable to be physically present in the holy city of Karbala are encouraged to conduct remote ziyarat, either from the rooftops of their homes or open fields, allowing them to spiritually connect with the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (PBUH), despite their geographical distance.
