Al-Mustaqbal Strategic Studies Center, affiliated with the religious authority in Holy Karbala, held an intellectual session on «Government Policies and National Identity Construction in the Digital Age» at the headquarters of the Al-Naba Cultural and Media Institution. The session, attended by researchers, academics, and media professionals, addressed the challenges posed by digital transformations on new generations and their impact on national identity. Haidar Abdul-Sattar al-Ajoudi, a researcher at Al-Mustaqbal Center, presented a paper highlighting the profound effects of the digital revolution on new generations. He pointed out the lack of comprehensive digital policies in Iraq, which has widened the gap between national identity and the allure of the virtual world. Participants also discussed the role of technology in shaping social identity and its impact on the weakening connection of youth with their national identity.
