Recently, the Shia Satellite Media Union in Najaf welcomed Mr. Iyad al-Jubouri, head of the Journalists’ Union in Najaf, who met with the union’s vice-president, Mr. Haidar al-Oboudi. Jubouri praised the Union’s efforts and stressed the importance of supporting Hussaini rituals and promoting religious values through the media. Sheikh Saleh Abu Kallal, tribal chief of the Amarah region, also visited the Union and held talks with al-Oboudi.
