In Maysan Province, Iraq, the Lady Umm al-Banin Institute, affiliated with the religious leadership, held a commemorative event marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. The ceremony was attended by mourners. Sheikh Saad al-Darraji delivered a speech elaborating on various aspects of the scientific and spiritual life of Imam al-Sadiq. The gathering concluded with emotional mourning sessions led by the Ahl al-Bayt eulogy reciter, Sayyid Hassan Albukhati.
