On the occasion of the blessed birth anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Maʿsuma (peace be upon her) and the end of the current academic year, the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) Cultural and Charitable Institute—affiliated with the Marjaʿiyya in the city of Basra—held a ceremony to honor a group of educators and teaching staff in the Al-Madina district.
The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. Hujjat al-Islam Shaykh ʿAlāʾ al-Shanān, deputy head of the institute, then delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of a sincere connection with the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, the productive use of free time, cultivating patience, and making optimal use of the summer break through educational courses on the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt.
In his remarks, Professor Ṭālib al-Lāmī, head of the Iraqi Teachers’ Syndicate in Al-Madina, expressed appreciation for the Shirazi Marjaʿiyya’s generous and paternal support for the educational sector across the Basra province, particularly through the efforts of the Ahl al-Bayt Institute.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation and gifts, which included a collection of works by Grand Ayatollah al-ʿUẓmā Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi may God grant him long life, to the honored educators.
