The office of the Grand Marja‘, Ayatollah al-‘Uzma Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi, in Najaf al-Ashraf organized a series of cultural and social programs in the cities of Najaf and Baghdad during the summer holidays and on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him).
As part of these efforts, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Salah al-Halfi, a member of the Marja‘iyya office, visited the Al-Rashad Psychiatric Center where he delivered a spiritual address and distributed gifts to the patients. He also committed to providing a wheelchair for one of the patients and presented an appreciation plaque to the center’s administration in recognition of their efforts.
In Najaf al-Ashraf, the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) Mosque and Husayniyah in the Hayy al-‘Askari district hosted a summer program titled “Young Awaiters of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance)”. This initiative, held under the supervision of the Marja‘iyya’s Propagation Unit and led by Sheikh Ali Khalidi, has been well received by local youth and teenagers.
