On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him), a mourning ceremony was held at the office of the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah al-Uzma Sayyed Sadiq Hussaini Shirazi (may God grant him long life), in the holy city of Najaf al-Ashraf.
The ceremony was attended by a group of scholars, clerics, seminary students from the Najaf seminary, and the general body of believers. During the gathering, the memory and legacy of the ninth Imam of the Shiites were honored.
