The Adam Center for Human Rights, one of the institutions affiliated with the Marja'iyya in Karbala al-Mualla, dedicated its weekly seminar to the topic “Investing in Human Rights.” The session was attended by a number of university professors, research center directors, and scholars.
During the seminar, Dr. Alaa Ibrahim Hosseini, a researcher at the center, presented a paper emphasizing that the concept of investment should not be confined solely to economic and commercial sectors. Instead, it should also be directed toward strengthening human rights and investing in human development.
He criticized the current global investment trends, which are primarily focused on profitability and material gain, stating that this approach has led to economic colonialism and the exploitation of weaker nations, particularly in Africa.
