On the occasion of International Charity Day, the Global Non-Violence Organization (Free Muslim), affiliated with the Global Foundation of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi, may his noble presence endure, issued the following statement:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

On September 5th, we stand not only to celebrate an international day but to renew our pledge to humanity. At the Global Non-Violence Organization (Free Muslim), we see charitable work not merely as a duty or obligation, but as the very pulse of human conscience and the essence of the non-violence mission we offer to the world.

Giving and sharing is a language that transcends all borders and obstacles. It eradicates the seeds of hatred, demolishes walls of conflict, and builds bridges of kindness and mutual love. In a world filled with crises, wars, conflicts, and natural disasters, charitable work serves as a lifeline for affected communities and a source of hope in the darkest circumstances.

The importance of charity in aiding disaster-stricken populations is evident in several key areas:

  • Immediate Relief: Charity provides urgent assistance to millions who have lost their homes and livelihoods, acting as a lifeline against hunger, homelessness, and disease.
  • Rebuilding Lives: Beyond financial aid, charity contributes to rehabilitating affected communities through the construction of schools and hospitals and the provision of psychological support, restoring hope for a better future.
  • Expression of Solidarity: Charitable acts send a powerful message that the suffering of a nation is a shared responsibility for all humanity. It reminds us that we are all in the same boat, and their pain is not distant from us.
  • Promotion of Human Dignity: Charity helps restore the dignity of those who have lost it due to wars and crises, reminding them that they are not abandoned in their struggle.

On this day, we call upon all generous hands and kind hearts to double their efforts and, through cooperation, make giving and sharing a daily practice. Let us transform our sense of helplessness in the face of crises into effective action, and let our charity become a powerful voice expressing our unwavering resolve to build a world filled with peace and justice.
