The International Nonviolence Organization, affiliated with the Global Foundation of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, issued a statement on the occasion of World Social Justice Day.

Statement:
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
On World Social Justice Day, a fundamental pillar for the peace of nations and human dignity, the International Nonviolence Organization presents this message to the international community, leaders, and all people of the world to remind them that justice is not merely a political choice but an existential necessity for the stability of human societies.

The organization believes that the absence of social justice is the primary fuel for conflicts, wars, and unrest. Nonviolence cannot exist in an environment filled with discrimination where the poor are oppressed and fundamental human rights are violated on the basis of race, religion, sect, or social class.

On this day, we recall the greatest and most important human document in the history of governance and administration—the testament of Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (P.B.U.H.), to Malik Al-Ashtar when appointing him as governor of Egypt. That document not only established a constitutional framework for governance but also laid down an ethical charter that transcends time and religions, in which he stated:
“Make your heart feel mercy toward the people and love for them and kindness toward them, for they are of two kinds: either your brothers in faith or your equals in creation.”

These eternal words clearly define the concept of social justice:

Human equality: Human rights are guaranteed for all based on their shared humanity (equals in creation), prior to any other affiliation.

Compassion in governance: Justice is achieved not only through strict laws but through mercy and care for the interests of the people and the vulnerable.

The pulse of ordinary citizens: Stability and consolidation of any political system depend on the extent to which even the smallest citizen feels belonging to the fabric of society without discrimination.

The International Nonviolence Organization calls on governments and international organizations to:

Adopt economic policies that ensure fair distribution of wealth and reduce the gap between social classes.

Strengthen an independent judiciary that guarantees the protection of the vulnerable against violations by material and political forces.

Reform educational systems to consolidate the values of tolerance and recognition of others as genuine partners in homeland and humanity.

Social justice is the security we all seek and the first and most necessary step toward a world without violence.
