The office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Ayatollah Shirazi, in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, held mourning gatherings on the 12th and 13th days of the mourning month of Muharram.
The 12th-day gathering began with a recitation of the Quran. Following this, the scholar Sayyid Abdul Hussein Alqazwini delivered a lecture on the true meaning of faith and how to achieve it.
On the 13th day, after a Quranic recitation, Sayyid Abdul Hussein Alqazwini’s address focused on “The Moral Status in Islamic Teachings.” He emphasized forgiveness and tolerance as core virtues of the Prophet Muhammad and his Household, while also reflecting on the injustices and persecution they faced.
