Misbah Alhussein Peace be Upon Him Institute Launches Distribution of 1.5 Million Cups of Drinking Water for Fortieth Day Pilgrimage

As the annual Fortieth Day Pilgrimage approaches, the Misbah Alhussein Peace be Upon Him Cultural and Charitable Institute, one of the centers operating under the supervision of the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, has launched a major drinking water distribution campaign for pilgrims and pilgrim service groups.

The initiative forms part of the institute's annual humanitarian services for the pilgrimage season. Under the project, 1.5 million cups of drinking water will be distributed to pilgrims traveling to the holy city of Karbala for the Fortieth Day Pilgrimage.

The campaign is being carried out in cooperation with the Imam Hussein Peace be Upon Him Media Group and Imam Hussein Peace be Upon Him Charities. Its aim is to help meet the needs of pilgrims during the hot days leading up to the pilgrimage by providing drinking water along the main routes leading to the holy city of Karbala, in Iraq.

In addition to supplying pilgrims on the roads, the institute has delivered large quantities of drinking water to mosques, Husseini centers, mourning gatherings, and homes hosting pilgrims.

The initiative is being implemented in accordance with the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husseini Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, who has repeatedly emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive services to the pilgrims of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
