The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hussaini Shirazi in Basra, Iraq, organized Hussaini mourning ceremonies during Muharram 1446. These events continued until the end of the first ten days of Muharram, with numerous believers and religious, academic, and cultural figures participating. Sheikh Nizar al-Hassan, the office director in Basra, also attended mourning ceremonies in various parts of Basra Province, including the Tuwaysa area, where he conveyed the greetings, prayers, and recommendations of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi to the mourners.
