This past Friday, the esteemed scholar and pious figure, Dr. Sayyed Hassan Eftekharzadeh Sabzevari, may God’s mercy be upon him, departed for the eternal abode. Following his passing, the office of the eminent religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Hussaini Shirazi, issued a message honoring the noble and valuable services of the late scholar. In the message, prayers were offered for his exalted station, divine mercy, and companionship with his pure forebears (peace be upon them).

The body of this devout scholar was escorted in a funeral procession attended by a large gathering of believers, scholars, and seminary students at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abdul Azim Hassani (peace be upon him) and was laid to rest in the Bab-e-Tooti courtyard. It is noteworthy that Hujjat al-Islam Morteza Ne’matollahi, the director of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi’s office in Tehran, along with a group of companions, attended the funeral and burial ceremonies and conveyed the condolence message of the eminent religious authority to the late scholar’s family.
