In a scholarly session held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the residence of the Marjaʿiyyah in Qom, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hussaini Shirazi (may his shadow be prolonged) explained the chain of transmission (isnād) of the Noble Hadith al-Kisāʾ from himself through a continuous series of great scholars and hadith narrators, reaching back to Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

During this session, attended by a group of scholars and seminary students, one of the attendees asked about the authenticity and chain of transmission of this luminous hadith. In response, His Eminence outlined the continuous and connected chain from himself, through credible narrators and prominent scholars, back to Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

He stated that the hadith has been transmitted through his late noble father, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mirza Mahdi Shirazi (may Allah sanctify his secret), who received it from Shaykh Abbas Qummi, who received it from Mirza Husain Nuri, who in turn received it from Shaykh Murtadha Ansari, who received it from Mulla Ahmad Naraqi, who received it from Sayyid Bahr al-ʿUloom, and he from Jabir ibn ʿAbdullah al-Ansari, who narrated it from Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

His Eminence emphasized that this connected chain of transmission has been published in various sources and books, and that he is among the living transmitters of the Noble Hadith al-Kisāʾ. This position grants the esteemed Marjaʿ a unique role in preserving the authenticated transmission of this noble tradition.
