The World Committee of Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him), one of the centers affiliated with the religious authority in Kuwait, has provided support and assistance to Husayni congregations across African countries.

This initiative was undertaken with the aim of upholding the rituals of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) and in accordance with the recommendations of the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah al-Udhma Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi. It played a significant role in promoting and expanding the culture of Ashura throughout the African continent.

The committee's support paved the way for broader and more widespread establishment of Husayni gatherings in various countries across Africa.
