As the second night of Muharram in the lunar year 1448 began, a ceremony to mourn Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was held at the center associated with the religious leadership in Mahajanga, Madagascar.

The event was attended by those devoted to the Prophet’s family, who joined together in rituals of mourning to honor the fallen of Karbala. During this spiritual gathering, attendees reflected on the messages of the uprising and the goals of Imam Hussein, emphasizing the importance of upholding religious values and keeping alive the traditions of his movement. The center in Mahajanga has prepared a special program for the first ten days to explain the culture of this movement and promote the teachings of the Prophet’s family.
