The Sayyid Al-Alam Peace be Upon Him Institute, one of the centers affiliated with the Religious Authority in the Abu Al-Khaseeb district of Basra, Iraq, held a mourning ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Sajjad, peace be upon him.

A number of believers and mourners attended the event, which began with a religious lecture. The speaker highlighted the exemplary life of Imam Sajjad, peace be upon him, his pivotal role in preserving the values of the movement of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, his devotion to worship, his steadfast struggle for justice, and his patience in the face of oppression and tyranny.

The ceremony concluded with elegies and traditional chest-beating, as participants recited mournful poetry in remembrance of the sufferings endured by the Prophet Muhammad's Household and honored their sacrifices.
