The mourning ceremonies commemorating Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, during the sacred month of Muharram were held at Lady Fatimah Alzahra Peace be Upon Him Complex, one of the centers affiliated with the Religious Authority in Kabul, Afghanistan, with the participation of female seminary students, mourners, and followers of the school of the Prophet Muhammad’s Household, peace be upon them.

These ceremonies, which began at the start of Muharram, continued until the thirteenth day of the month. Throughout the programs, Hujjat al-Islam Husseini discussed Islamic teachings, the philosophy behind Imam Hussein’s uprising, peace be upon him. Participants also took part in mourning gatherings, honoring the memory of Imam Hussein, the Leader of the Martyrs, peace be upon him, and his loyal companions.
