As the 2026 Fortieth Day Pilgrimage for Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, begins, the Imam Hussein Peace Be Upon Him Media Group has launched comprehensive live coverage of the world's largest annual religious gathering by utilizing all of its media, technical, and news resources.

Through six satellite television channels and the Imam Hussein Peace Be Upon Him Live online network, the group is broadcasting the Fortieth Day Pilgrimage in Persian, Arabic, English, Urdu, and Turkish to audiences around the world, airing more than sixteen hours of live programming each day.

News and technical teams have been deployed at the Mehran border crossing in Iran, the Shalamcheh border crossing between Iran and Iraq, along the main pilgrimage routes, in Iraq's holy cities, and at dedicated broadcasting studios. A media station at Route Marker 1114 on the pilgrimage route between the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, Iraq, is providing continuous live coverage of pilgrims and the spiritual atmosphere along the journey. Meanwhile, the group's mobile broadcasting team began its coverage from the city of Basra, Iraq, on the first day of month of Safar and is accompanying pilgrims throughout their journey on foot to the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.

Also, the studio located on Qibla Gate Street of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Peace Be Upon Him, in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, is hosting multilingual live programs featuring scholars and distinguished guests while providing reports from the holy shrines and service groups. There is also the production and broadcasting of a sixty-episode program, Return to the Future, airing three times daily from the first through the twentieth day of the month of Safar.

Officials from Imam Hussein Peace Be Upon Him TV Channel said that live coverage of additional pilgrimage routes across Iraq will be added in the coming days. According to the channel, the objective of this extensive media coverage is to showcase the world's largest religious gathering, introduce the values and message of Imam Hussein's stand against oppression, peace be upon him, and convey the spiritual and humanitarian message of the Fortieth Day Pilgrimage to audiences around the world.
