The Ahlul Bayt Peace Be Upon Them Islamic Thought Center in Baghdad, Iraq, organized a cultural and intellectual competition to encourage young people and believers to read and share the culture of reading. The competition focused on the book Features of Civil Society in Islamic Thought by Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mortadha Shirazi, may God honor him. The initiative aimed to strengthen awareness and expand religious knowledge within society.

During the event, Ali Alsarai, director of the center, explained the objectives and reasons behind organizing the competition. He emphasized the importance of thoughtful reading in addressing intellectual and cultural challenges and highlighted the need to create an environment for constructive academic competition among participants.

Following this, Scholar Sheikh Majid Alfatlawi provided a brief explanation of the book’s themes and main topics, emphasizing the importance of benefiting deeply from its content.

At the conclusion of the gathering, copies of the competition book were distributed among participants. This activity was held as part of the center’s strategic programs to expand knowledge and culture, encourage young people to read, and foster intellectual and cultural engagement in response to the spread of superficial content across social media and digital platforms.
